For dogs 6 months and older.
Prerequisite: Puppy or Beginner class
Program Details:
- Prepares puppy class graduates for the next level Canine Good Citizen Class or a refresher class for older dogs.
- Emphasis is placed on introducing distraction work and polishing existing basic skills.
- This class does NOT include the Canine Good Citizen Test.

For dogs 6 months and older.
Prerequisite: CGC Prep or Beginner class.
- Dog must demonstrate sit, lay down, a one minute sit and down stay, recall on lead, basic walking skills, wait, leave it and focused attention.
- The Canine Good citizen Program was designed by the American Kennel Club and is open to mixed and pure breeds. The course is designed to teach dogs how to behave in a socially acceptable style under distractions at home and in public.
- All dogs completing the course will have the opportunity to take the 10-step CGC test and will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club upon passing.

Prerequisite: completed Canine Good Citizen.
Program Details:
- Rally Obedience is a training course of designated stations where each handler/dog team moves at their own pace. Each station has a sign, which provides the instructions for the next exercise to be performed.

For dogs over 6 months.
Prerequisite: Beginner class.
- The instruction, practice and application of specialized visiting dog commands.
- Maximize communication between volunteer teams and clients.
- A field trip to practice socialization and obedience exercises under “new” distractions.
- Grooming tips to prepare your dog for a visit.
- What to expect on a visit and supplies to bring.
- How to recognize signs of stress in your dog and relaxation techniques.
- The American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test will be offered on the final night of class to all participants.

Requirements:
- Proof of vaccinations by a licensed veterinarian.
- Monthly flea and tick preventative.
- Handlers must be at least 16 years of age.
- All dogs must be registered and paid in full before the class begins.
Equipment:
- 6 foot nylon/leather leash (no retractable leashes)
- Small pea size soft treats, i.e. jerky treats
Absences:
- Attendance the first night is required.
- Please discuss any absences with your trainer.
